BORACAY, Philippines [Days 8 - 10]

HEY GUYS
I was at boracay i few weeks back and i finally managed to finish compiling and filtering all the photos.
You have no idea how long that took cause Ritche is one to spam when taking photos he took like 500 in ONE DAY.
And even if the picture is too dark, overexposed or blur he wouldn't delete them LOL.
Took me long to consider which photos are the nicest cause there were too many?

Woke up crazily early for the flight from Cebu to Boracay!
In case you didn't read my previous post, i was already in Cebu from days 1-7 so a flight to Boracay was a super short one, just 45 mins!
If you're intending to go from Singapore to Boracay, you will have to take 2 flights, 1 to Cebu first (3.5hrs) before Boracay (45mins) because there's no direct flight.

Was really shocked when i realized how good this sandwich was!
It was like tuna on the first layer, bacon on the second and cheese with egg on the 3rd and the taste of this combo was just heavenly haha. CAN YOU IMAGINE IT ALREADY?
Need to try making this myself one day!

Boyfriend got me a mint chocolate macaroon at the airport cause i absolutely love mint hehe

The plane was extremely small if i didn't remember wrongly, it could only fit 80 people!
AND they only have very few flights back and forth to Cebu each day

When you reach the airport you'll have to go to the counter to buy tickets for a tuktuk ride to get to the Jetty, take the jetty to Boracay, then take another tuktuk ride to your hotel!
It's around $25 bucks SGD per person i think?
So when you get out you'll have to take a tuktuk looking vehicle known as a "pedicab" (filipino's way of calling it!) to get to the Jetty.
You wouldn't have to pay the driver cause you already got the tickets for that!
After that you'll have to take a 25min jetty ride to Boracay and take another pedicab to get to your hotel!
(Complicated i know but it's basically just airport - jetty - hotel with pedicabs inbetween to get you from one to the other!)

I SWEAR I HATE THE PEDICAB. Cant find an image to show you the ones in Boracay cause there's so many different kinds but i'll explain k.
It's like 2 seaters in front with normal seats just like tuk tuk facing the front, the road.
Then there's another 2 seats behind which are hardly ever like seats that face each other. Those seats don't have any handles nor is there a door so THE ONLY thing that prevents you from flying out that opening when the motorbike starts up, is your arms grabbing whatever you can find at the back of the vehicle.
Not to forget the fact that you must still be fully aware of your surroundings take care of your bags and luggage (if you bring one).
PLUS the road was extremely bumpy and the motorbike is super fast and it goes up and downhill and i just felt like i might not live to reach boracay at all.
Like the bumpy part didn't make me sick (if you have motion sickness good luck) but i hated it because the ceiling of the pedicab was VERY LOW
and so you'll just be knocking your head on the metal poles above you. Don't know how much dumber i've gotten with just 1 ride....

At the jetty and it was so packed LOL the queue was crazily long but somehow there was almost no waiting time. It was extremely efficient!

So for 25 minutes in the jetty you'll have the life vest flapping and slapping your face hahaha
then sometimes the people in charge of the boat would come and announce that we have to put it on but seriously no one gives a shit LOL
like out of so many people in the boat i dont recall even 1 of them wearing it

Ritche already studying the "Boracay Guide" very closely hahaha

I wonder how many people have fallen in the water while walking on that platform LOL it's super narrow so girls, no-no to heels when making your way to boracay.
You might think i'm crazy for saying no heels when people are going there for a BEACH vacation, but wait till you go to boracay and see girls in heels walking on sand....

Ritche's parents booked the room at Boracay Regency Beach Resort!
IT HAS THE BEST LOCATION EVER. Once you walk from the lobby, towards their swimming pool and their restaurant, you'll be at the beach already.
AND THAT'S NOT THE BEST PART
At like 5.30pm you'll see the sunset isn't it. Then the sun rays against the waters (best view and spot ever) is DIRECTLY in front of Boracay Regency.
So after enjoying the sunset and it's getting dark you can just head back to the resort right behind you to get changed in your room,
then head out for fantastic seafood dinner and chill at pubs!? BY THE BEACH?!! WITH LIVE BANDS

Lol at this part of the post it's still day 1 morning and i'm already talking about sunset and dinner HAHA i guess that's the part i enjoy most.

Oh and if you're interested in maybe staying here if you're going to boracay then it's about 330$ SGD per night!
Depends on season though, like during school holidays it'll be more expensive?
This hotel is amongst the best resorts there is around here, the most expensive one is Shangri-la which is like 500$ per night but really, there are a lot cheaper ones around.

It was about 10am when we reached Boracay and the room was only ready by 3pm lol wtf so we couldn't wash up and get changed sadly.
Went to explore the place and do some light shopping first!

Not really sure but is that lord farquaad with boobies...
I think all of you are more focused on what's next to it though HAHAHA

Ritche looking so tired cause we got up at like 5am *yawns

No idea who would actually get these......is it supposed to be cute or something i really dont get it

That's our hotel again, that's the bar in the pool!
Many people say it's very bad to be in the pool or swim after drinking don't really get why

Lunch at a restaurant by the beach! Can't remember the name sadly.
Anyway the beach is actually 1 extremely long stretch with 1 long stretch of shops just next to it,selling beach wear and accessories, souvenirs, restaurants and pubs, paintings (like super nice ones i swear but pricey of course) and clothes!
The stretch of shops is just like maybe 10m away from the sea. So you'll be looking at the beautiful view while shopping everywhere bloody love that place.

Fried prawns with sweet chilli dips!

Ritche's smoked tuna steak which tasted like chicken LOL

Red Horse Beer is a locally manufactured beer by the same company as San Miguel beer! But it's meant to be the stronger version of it

This room was actually meant for 3 so Ritche's parents had to pay extra just to bring me in as well :(
I don't know why i'm so extra LOL so there was an additional bed as you can see on the left.
Still ended up squeezing on the same bed as ritche on the right HAHA

Camwhoring by the balcony while waiting for his parents to be done haha. We were on the second floor,
BUT if you get the room at the first floor you have pool access which is damn shiok.
Never had a room with pool access in my life?! Imagine just jumping into the pool from your room and crawling up from the pool to your room wtf just wtf.
AND every balcony on the first floor with pool access had like beach beds right there too much goodness in one holiday~

Honestly speaking i don't think i'll get such a fancy hotel the next time i go there because no one really spends time at the hotel anyway?

Absolutely love our goofy shots hahaha anyway i guess you could tell how damn excited we were?!

That's what i'm talking about, row of shops just 10m away from the sea!

Breathtaking view i couldn't help but go "WOAHHHH" every few seconds and keep telling ritche how much i love the place LOL.
We were actually thinking of what hotels to consider on our next trip here together already HAHA shit we're crazy.
It's like i've been to quite a few beach resorts and islands but nothing could be compared to this?!

Man carrying a HUGE HUGEEE lobster in his hand wtf

This is actually the market selling mainly fresh seafood so many people would go there to pick and buy them, before going to restaurants to choose the method they want it cooked!
Like different methods of cooking would have it's different charges.
I would really highly recommend this only if you actually know how to pick seafood or whatsoever because i am absolutely clueless when it comes to these things LOL.

So alternatively for people like me you just have to pick a restaurant which would already have the fresh seafood there so you just go on ordering just like that!

Dont have the talent of building sandcastles LOL can you believe this is done by filipino children of ages like 6 maybe?
If you go there you have to just look at their speed when building these, they're like professional sandcastle builders.

As a tourist i obviously would just snap pictures of anything i see that catches my eye.
How the fuck would i have known that i was supposed to pay before i was allowed to take a picture of it right?
SO the kids were actually rude as fuck they were shouting "TIP TIP TIP" after i took the picture and one of them threw sand at me wtf
I WAS DAMN PISSED OFF like seriously couldn't you ask nicely?
Like even after ritche gave them tips they wouldnt even thank you they'll just stare and gossip

I just feel like they should put up a sign if they want to make it compulsory for us to give tips before taking pictures or at least ask nicely what?
Like how is it my fault for having fast fingers before you could say anything urgh *annoyed

The colours in the sky omg

This is what i was talking about, the resort is located right in front of this view you see above *__*

These are like pictures you'll see on motivational posters laminated on people's walls HAHAHA
But really it's too beautiful to be true

His parents getting a massage while we were busy snapping photos hahaha
Oh and if you get a manicure or pedicure there it's only like 150pesos which is $5 SGD, crazily cheap!
As tourist we're always looking for the cheapest, best service and quality stuff be it paying for activities at the beach, buying souvenirs, doing hair braids or getting a manicure but these people are actually all working for 1 main person so everything is priced the same!
If you want to do or buy any of these things you wouldn't have to think twice or see if there are cheaper ones around cause there arent any.
So you'll never "be cheated :(" on your trip to boracay!

Not just that though because they really have so many policemen patrolling the area it's really crazily safe!

Was considering a buffet with steaks omg and they were actually giving out samples of the steak which was SUPER GOOD

First time ever in my 20 years of living i actually couldn't finish a cup of alcohol LOL
Like i used to be able to down anything that tastes really strong or mixed with all sorts of alcohol idk why i just can but this, i just couldn't.
Like i was forcing myself to just drink up half of it LOL. I just wanted to have a nice mild glass of cocktail while enjoying my meal but it just tasted like pure alcohol wtf

Clam soup and CALAMARI

This, is one of the BEST calamaris i have ever had in my entire life i swear by it.
Just looking at this picture makes me crave for it already! Can't wait to go back and have more of it i'll just order 2 plates of it at once hahaha

the very insignificant fish HAHAHA cause i really hate eating fish esp because of its bones (lazy person's problems)

1 lobster cooked in 2 different ways; with chilli and the other with garlic and butter!
Just like that and it already costs $70 SGD, 2000 pesos. It's actually considered as cheap in Boracay cause everything is really very expensive.

Had an earlier night on day 1 because we were all so exhausted from waking up so early~

--

Day 2

The breakfast at the hotel was really quite good! Was trying to control myself from eating too much cause i'll look so bloated when wearing a bikini but i couldnt help it HAHA
Please someone, teach me how to say no to food and second/third helpings wtf

Awkward photo of me taken by Ritche's mom HAHA just look at my hands what was i even trying to do anyway
omg i swear she has a whole lot of awkward and ugly photos of me and ritche in her phone

One thing i couldn't really stand at Boracay Regency Resort though, what's with the uniform!? OMG
Like the skirt of the waitresses were so damn short and they had to wear heels. How were they even expected to work in this way?!
They can't even bend over to pick up anything, they can't squat since it's so tight and short they just basically can't do anything much in such a uniform la huh.
Like the end of the skirt is at their butt already.

Blue skies, clear sea waters and white fine sand sigh paradise
It already looks so damn beautiful early in the morning

Couldnt stop laughing when ritche took this photo HAHA

Grumpy boy because he was complaining about how glaring and hot it was hahaha

Why does he have such brown eyes and i dont :/

Ritche's parents were swimming in the sea while we were snapping photos haha and look at what Ritche's dad brought back to us after his swim LOL

A ball of seaweed and a ball of sand, he sure seemed very contented with it HAHA
omg i swear ritche and his father same pattern one, only they'll think of doing such things

Mac booth for ice creams and coke floats ME PLS ME PLS

McFloat and i was expecting just vanilla ice cream with coke but no LOL
CAN YOU BELIEVE IT, they put CHOCOLATE FUDGE in as well HAHAHA
When i was drinking it i was rather confused but it kinda tasted good... erm. I was really confused whether i liked it or not.
Just remember not to open the lid when drinking it because it'll be really gross to see the LUMPS of chocolate fudge floating around your coke....

THIS, I JUST HAD TO GET SOME.
It's like the best souvenir to get because up till now i've still been wearing the bracelet on my wrist permanently
and it's still in it's perfect shape though i accidentally tugged it many many times!

It was just 50 pesos for a ring ($1.40 SGD)
100 pesos for a bracelet or keychain ($2.80 SGD)
150 pesos for a necklace ($4.40 SGD)
And you can just choose whatever design you like, the dolphin, swan, ribbon and all! I even added pearl like beads to my bracelet and it was free as well.
Like seriously speaking if you were to ever buy this from singapore how much more expensive would it have been lol. I really loved the idea!

I would really recommend checking the spelling or designs after they're done with it though cause we did encounter some issues with that lol

I could get used to living like this on a daily basis

Went for some italian food for lunch! Didn't order too much but the meal was extremely filling

Don't know what they call this but there was salmon and cheese in it. Major cheese overload in just 1 bite i guess that's why it's so so filling?
IT WAS ACTUALLY MEANT TO BE AN APPETIZER LIKE ARE YOU KIDDING

Prawn and mango salad served in a heart shape. Really wonder how the prawns managed to stay in place.
Wasn't a fantastic meal honestly speaking but it was not too bad!

Random monkey spotted in the middle of nowhere haha and there were so many tourists just crowding around to stare at it

Photo taken at "Nigi Nigi Nu Noos 'e' Nu Nu Noos" for an afternoon drink... what a shop name

Damn handsome pls. dui mian de nan hai kan guo lai~~~

He's like this more than half the time we're together just saying, he's turning 24 HAHAHA

Just look at how clear the water is?

You look at the background of this picture and you might think it's considered as crowded but apparently we were there during the off peak period.
Can't imagine the crowd during the holidays?!

Boyfriend really needs his shades HAHA if not he's frowning THE WHOLE TIME wtf

Making my boyfriend my model hehehe damn handsome already la can you stop it

Considered for an extremely long time before i decided to do the hair braids! It was like just 150 pesos ($4.40)!
Actually you could wear it for as long as you like and there are many designs to choose from but i seriously regretted doing this to my hair wtf.

I actually wore it for around 10 days and there are people who wear for months ah, but once i took it out, MY HAIR COULDN'T STOP FALLING.
I WAS SO SCARED I SWEAR like i'll run my fingers through my hair but it'll just fall, NON STOP.
Then i went on the net and checked people said that the damage of these braids can be PERMANENT to your scalp.
There was like this kid who went for hair braids during a holiday and after months she was BALD.

The reason why it's so damn damaging is because they tie it real tightly (duh) BUT it is SO TIGHT,
till the roots of your hairs are unable to get nutrients so they just FALL OFF.
That's why i would strongly recommend for people to never ever go for this lol i don't think i'll dare to try again.
Thank god i have very thick hair, i'm extremely sure that the amount of hair i've lost would be noticeable on people with fine and thin hair.

Went to a restaurant known as MESA for dinner! The food was very affordable and it was quite good.
So my boyfriend was nice enough to help me pour my beer with 2/3 filled with the froth thanks ah

Ritche's dad trying to make the ball of froth for his beer hahaha

Scallops with fried garlic and butter, super tasty!

Fried fish with 4 different sauces and GUESS WHAT
this dish is meant for me and all the other lazy people out there you know why
because the fish has it's meat removed from the bones and fried already!
So convenient i don't have to sit there breaking the fish into tiny pieces looking for bones hahaha

OSTRICH MEAT wtf i swear this was damn nice, favourite dish of the night!

Went for an extremely long walk since it was our last night at Boracay and we came across this shop that was selling drawings for a super cheap price.
So we thought like why not?
We enquired about the waiting time and all cause it was already extremely late.
He said he does delivery at 3am after he's done with the work and brings it to the hotel lobby.
So ok we paid like around 350 pesos ($10+SGD) for it and gave him our room number and hotel details.

The next morning we went to the lobby and they said that they received NOTHING. Wtf.
We were super pissed off and ritche's parents called the guy, he kept rejecting the call and eventually turned off his phone.
We knew we were being cheated, so we went back to the booth but it wasn't open and we were leaving boracay soon so we could never have gotten that drawing.
We went around to ask like what time the shop opens and reported it to the police etc. Apparently that guy has conned many tourists already especially koreans (lol).
So we were damn upset, cause we really just wanted a drawing to bring home, not because of the money lol.

BUTTTT like 1-2 hours later when we were at the hotel lobby we received the drawing. Apparently he just went to deliver it.
We couldn't understand why he wouldnt continue conning our money and just not give the drawing at the end of the day though. Didn't really make sense.
ANYWAY the drawing was so damn ugly, it looked nothing like ritche and i. Sigh whatever we'll get a better one next time!

Do look out for this fag though when you're in boracay. Maybe scold him on my behalf too LOL.

Shop with basketball. The whole concept was they had a minute, and they would have to score a certain number of balls to be able to win a prize.
There was a jersey and cap to be won so there were like many tall angmors trying it but never getting close to winning it lol.
In the end they were all siasuay-ed by the little filipino boy who managed to score like triple their scores HAHA and actually win the prize!
I think it was a pretty smart and simple concept. They can already earn quite a bit every hour since people are playing and queueing to play it every minute.

--
Day 3 and we were not excited to leave the amazing island yet :'(
Had breakfast and i filled my tummy as much as possible cause it was my last meal there sighhhh
Took my final few photos for my ootd and stuff before saying bye to Boracay *cries

Don't know if you can tell but i became SO TANNED after day 2 LOL. We were literally in the sun for the entire day from 7am er. I don't think i could get any tanner.

A little something before getting on the plane to go back to cebu for my last few days of vacation!

Ayala Mall for some dinner with his cousins and aunties! Have been to this mall when i was in cebu a few years back with my sch and friends, so many memories.
That's like one of the biggest malls there is in Cebu.

Went to Sunburst for dinner! They're really famous for their friend chicken and they did live up to their reputation.
It's wayyyy better than kfc for sure.

They know chilli sauce for "hot sauce" instead!
The last time i came to cebu with my school i didn't have chilli sauce for like 16 days i guess it's because no one knew what i was trying to ask for LOL

Some Krispy Kreme before leaving the mall since it's half the price of what you'll be paying in SG

They even gave us the Krispy Kreme hat HAHAHA

Alright so that was my days 8-10 when i was in Boracay. I truly had an amazing trip when i was there!
But i doubt 3 days was enough cause we didn't do the activities, we didn't get to explore more on boracay other than just the beach itself (cause it's really quite big)!
I can't wait for my next trip there, it might just be the end of this year lol. One of my favourite places in the world for sure!
A local told me that Palawan is a lot nicer though it's really expensive. There's like this underground river walk that really caught my interest.
Maybe that's my next beach holiday destination hehe.

Alright till next time guys!
