HEY YALL
As mentioned in my blog post previously, Ritche and I were planning to go to Hard Rock Cafe for lunch before heading down to the Trick Eye Museum! It's actually a new attraction at Sentosa (opened Jun 2014) originated from Korea.
They had an opening promotion then which was 50% off tickets (from $25 to $12.50).
I honestly didn't think $25 per pax was worth the money just for photo taking so i thought since there was a discount we might as well go right?
Just to make things clear there isn't any opening promo anymore :(
We didn't manage to go in the trick eye museum btw continue reading and i'll tell you why (we were damn pissed LOL)
Hard Rock Cafe (ORCHARD ONLY) has lunch promotions at $15 NETT which includes a soup of the day, main course, ice cream AND free flow drinks!
The ice cream is actually haagen dazs wtf
Honestly it's like the best deal really, there were only about 4 tables occupied in comparison to their full house every night.
When you go there during dinner hours it's like $25-30+ for a main course already and that EXCLUDES gst and service charges lolol
If you're going i would suggest taking coke then you can maybe add in the haagen dazs in the coke and it becomes a float HAHAHA
If you're wondering why we've been so cheapo on our date it's because we're broke as hell after splurging too much on nonsensical stuff and a whole lot of food.
BUT i love our cheapo dates! These dates sometimes turn out better than expensive ones, cause eg. for Hard Rock, we already know their food standards.
At least it wouldn't turn out disappointing unlike certain expensive, overrated, famous restaurants and you spend over a hundred on crappy food!
Oh and apparently they change their main course at times so you wouldn't get bored of the same set lunches!
Ritche ordered their Fish n Chips while i ordered the Beef Lasagna ~
If you realize at other restaurants when they have promo set meals the serving automatically becomes half or less than half of the norm.
But in this case the serving is still really large LOL.
We were so full from this meal we actually FORGOT about having dinner HAHA
Wtf for me to actually forget to eat is almost an impossible task
AND my favourite thing on earth....ice creammmmmmmmmmmmmm
Ritche was too full after his main course so i ate his share tooo YAY HAHAHA
Now for my outfit post:
Laced Cardi upcoming on www.StyleHacks.net on their 1 year anniversary
Floral Bralet c/o SHOPVEXED.com
Crochet Runner Shorts upcoming on www.StyleHacks.net
Laced Daisies Bag from www.StyleHacks.net
Chunky Platforms from www.StyleHacks.net on their Preorders!
When Andrea the owner of ShopVexed actually asked what i wanted for the sponsorship i immediately picked this bralet cause it's a perfect layering piece!!
It really matches so well with casual pieces like my outerwear and shorts because the prints and colour is really pretty and outstanding on it's own.
You wouldn't need to try too hard with your OOTD having this piece in your wardrobe for sure.
It's cutting is also just nice esp on the waist! Just imagine if it isn't fitting then you get like weird excess cloth on the sides #thingsicannotstand
And because the padding is fairly thick no bras are required yay HAHA nubras are just too much of a hassle!
SHOPVEXED.com actually launched their newest collection recently and their apparels are really affordable from like $17 each?
Their preorder shoes are between $24 - $28 no higher (which includes platforms and HEELS)
You can also follow them on instagram http://instagram.com/shopvexed to get constant updates on their latest fashion apparels and accessories.
THERE IS A GIVEAWAY ON MY INSTAGRAM (who doesn't like free stuff?!)
Take a look on http://instagram.com/meloided/ it's ending in 4 days so HURRYZ
And on to the part as to why i DIDNT manage to go to Trick Eye Museum, refer to the picture below.
IT WAS ONLY 3PM and their operating hour on the website stated between 10am - 9pm but tickets were SOLD OUT!
Wtf and they did not allow online bookings so it's ridiculous. You literally go there with no guarantees of being able to go in.
I'm very sure there were people who went all the way to sentosa, paid the stupid $4 entry fee JUST to come for this attraction LIKE US.
If they already knew from the start of this attraction that the response is overwhelming, they should have stated it on the site, and also state on the website that they close their ticketing counter at maybe 2pm so people get the idea that they shouldn't be going after 2pm to buy tickets AND NOT END UP WASTING THEIR TIME AND MONEY.
So after getting really disappointed and trying to process the fact that we did indeed spend $8 to get to sentosa for absolutely nothing,
we went to the ticketing counter to ask if we could buy tickets to enter for the following day.
And guess what? They told us we still have to come back on the following day to queue for it wtf?
They adviced us to come earlier the following day so fine, i asked if there would be a queue in the morning usually?
She said this exactly, word for word, "morning no crowd, short queues"
So with 0 plans on a hot afternoon at Sentosa, we kept googling for attractions or nice hang out places at sentosa but found 0 things worthy to do.
They were mainly fort canning (boring), SEA Aquarium (already went), Adventure Cove (didn't have swimwear with us), USS (we only had 4 hrs left before they closed).
So yeah we decided to walk around instead and be like tourists LOL
After walking around then i realized how i never truly explored sentosa. I'm pretty sure many singaporeans feel the same way too.
For example if you're going to SEA Aquarium on that day, you'll just go straight to the attraction and after that maybe go for dinner at vivo before heading home.
Most people wouldn't walk around to see what else there is around sentosa!
Honestly there isn't that much to see HAHAH but it's like a different sight in comparison to walking to town to look at the same shops and buildings over again.
We literally took the sentosa map and looked for shops and stuff HAHAHA
Already thought of a caption before taking this photo HAHAHAHA
#theworldisinmyhands
And of course, OUR FAV SHOP = CANDY SHOPS
Bought this boy his Reese mug filled with his fav chocolates hahaha
Not sure if anyone else other than us does this, but we eat our cereals using cups instead of bowls LOL.
If you think about it, isn't it wayyyyyyyy easier to eat in this way?
Like you just have to hold the mug in your hand you could be sitting at the tv with your cereal,
then when you're about done you could just drink the milk instead of holding up an entire bowl?
Maybe soups should be served in mugs as well HAHAHA okok that's too much
Idk i think this is truly influenced by my laziness LOL
So as mentioned before, the girl working at Trick Eye Museum said there wasn't a crowd in the morning so we planned it all well already.
We woke up crazily early the next morning despite having to go over to a friend's place at 6pm to prepare for Tioman,
and we reached Trick Eye Museum at like 10.50am when they officially open at 10am everyday.
AND GUESS WHAT???
The queue was predicted to be 1.5 hrs long just to buy the tickets.
I mean like fine fine sure, 1.5 hrs later i'll still be able to make it in time for our plans in the evening but seriously so much for "there is no crowd"
BUT there was a 3 HOUR WAITING TIME just to get INSIDE the museum like wtf are you out of your mind??
If you don't get what i mean, then i'm trying to say, that people who queued up for over an hr to get their tickets
had to queue up at the entrance of the attraction for THREE HOURS to get inside.
1.5hrs + 3hrs = 4.5hrs JUST to get into the museum and the 3hr queue looked ridiculous.
It's like worse than those hello kitty queues at macs / autographs from celebrities.
They didn't allow visitors inside constantly, but at like every hour or sth, so wtf the queue wasn't even moving.
We were pissed as fuck cause we would have to stand there till 4pm though we reached so early?
Of course we didn't queue up for it. We decided to completely give up on the thought of going to that attraction and just go for a nice lunch at Matsuri, Sentosa!
We actually went to vivo afterwards to shop for nice swimwears and last minute buys for the trip :)
Alright that's all i have for now hehe i hope you enjoyed my post!
If you haven't known, i'm going to be on StylexStyle for their Bonia collaboration!
I just finished a shoot with them yesterday along with a few others at mediacorp and it was a whole lot of fun haha.
They are also going to have a party on Thursday running the video we worked on yesterday through the night omg I CANT WAIT.
There's going to be alcohol (yay) and many celebrities there (now let me stress up on what to wear HAHAHA)
I'll be posting a WHOLE LOT of behind the scenes photos real soon probably in my next post ~
Life has been real good to me lately and i'm so glad but as of now i wouldn't have much to look forward to until Ritche's birthday.
I've already had quite a few things planned out beforehand ;)
Till next time!
