HEY YALL
Just like last year, i planned a full day activity for Ritche's birthday!
It took me a month's preparation to plan last year's celebration. (i swear i was damn stressed up!)
However for this year it took me just like 30 minutes to plan out everything LOL
I think it has got to do with the fact that i know him inside out already and i know exactly what he'll like (well most of the time)I am quite proud of what i managed to plan out HAHA
Hopefully after you read this post you'll find some ideas of where to bring your bf/gf for anniversary celebrations or their birthdays!
The budget for this celebration was quite high but i feel that these things are worth spending on
He's happy, i'm damn happy, so what's not worth the money?!Oh and that morning i woke up at 8am just to prepare to head out wtf who wakes up so early for a date HAHA
It's so good i'm planning to go back real soon hahaha
It's actually located at "Sentosa Cove Village", which is like the other end of sentosa (SUPER FAR from vivo)
But i really think it's worth the trip!
Getting there:
1. Take the monorail to Beach Station
2. Go to the bus interchange (turn left after going down the escalator)
3. Take bus 3, the intervals are arnd 30 minutes
4. Alight at Sentosa Cove, you'll see W Hotel and they'll announce it anyway! It only takes 10 minutes to reach after you get on the bus.
It's like a 20 minute journey from vivo if you don't miss the bus (unfortunately for us we did LOL)
If you're driving then here's their address: 31 Ocean Way, Sentosa Cove, 098375
Most of the restaurants around sentosa cove look really good however many were outdoor (i dont need to emphasize on how hot the weather is)
Museo is located on the 2nd floor and surrounded with glass panels so you could enjoy the scenery plus the air con hehe
When we first entered the restaurant at 12pm we actually thought it was closed HAHAHA
There was literally no one near the door, no customers and it was absolutely quiet wtf
Only when we walked in then we saw just 1 service staff and i had to go on and ask if they're open LOL
We picked these sofa seats which was damn comfortable?!
We spent almost 2 hours just nua-ing there, eating really slowly, taking photos and talking hahaha
It was overlooking the yachts and the lighting and everything was simply perfect
I just had to, sorry birthday boy HAHAHA
Their alcohol menu is longer than their food menu HAHA i really can't imagine how shiok it'll be to actually drink here
We ordered the "Mezzanine" in which food is served in little glass bowls
Each serving is $13 but if you order 4 it's $48. Since they had 8 different types in that section we decided to just order all of it!
I believe it's quite reasonably priced for the atmosphere and service.
Did i forget to mention that between 11-3pm they have lunch promotions of 30% OFF?
If you're thinking about how far it is and worried you might not have plans for the rest of the afternoon, you don't have to worry at all!
They have this "Art Jam" thing in which you could paint on canvas for $38!
I'm not much of an arts person so i didn't ask for more details haha
But apparently you can get unlimited amounts of acrylic paint and er art stuff LOL
My salted caramel latte (damn good)
Singaporeans all love free stuff HAHAHA when they placed this at our table we were damn confused
We were like asking each other did we order this??? Shit is it wrong order?
Only after a long time did we realize it was complimentary -_-
From top left to right: Prawns, Soft Shell Chilli Crab,
Bottom left to right: Silver fish and Black Pepper TunaTop left to right: Pork Knuckles, Satay
Bottom left to right: Sotong and fried cheese cubes with jam
Honestly when the food arrived i didn't think it would be enough for both of us but honestly we only finished about half the food??
I wouldn't recommend ordering all 8 dishes if you are coming here with another person cause if you look at it, 5/8 of it is FRIED so it was super filling
It's either fried, bbq-ed, meat or seafood LOL however that doesn't mean the food wasn't good.
I would still rate it a 8.5/10 at least, 11/10 for atmosphere and 10/10 for service!
Maybe you could order the 4 for $48 and order another main course to share making it more balanced!
Based on what tastes best in our opinions: Soft Shell Chilli Crab, Satay, Prawns, Tuna, Sotong, Cheese cubes, pork knuckles and silver fish
Besides, the first 4 that i mentioned are probably more value for money compared to things like cheese cubes and silver fish!
The meal cost $97 after service charge!
Ritche really enjoyed lunch and so did i. It was such a good way to start off our day~
I'm already thinking of bringing my mom here for her birthday lunch heheeh
Our 2nd stop was USS! I bought seasonal passes (6mths unlimited) for both of us hehe
It only costs $98 per pax (super cheap in my opinion)
If you think about it, you're paying between $60-70 just for 1 ticket and you'll end up rushing when taking photos, rush to take the rides and completely forget about enjoying yourself and taking your time in the process.
So i thought, why not!? We could go in at 2pm, leave at 6pm with this seasonal pass cause we can come back any time.
Our seasonal pass yayyyyy
This gives us discounts for certain food outlets in USS and souvenirs purchased!
They even gave ritche a happy birthday badge HAHAHA
The queue to take photos with the minions was ridiculous.
Everyone must be thinking to themselves omg minions so cute etc but all i had on my mind was 1 question "are the people in the costumes kids?cause they're really short?!"
And i still have no answer LOL
MY CHILDHOODDDDDD
Super cute minion tumblers wtffffff
We're probably amongst the weirdest people you know if we looked like this 24/7 HAHAHA
I was so tempted to get one of these i'll post my OOTD with it worn LOL
we actually took the seasame street ride...........
Never grew tired of looking at USS!!
The newer rides which includes the transformers! Still one of my favourites hehe
I didn't expect myself to still be taken aback by all the 3D effects LOL
it's damn funny to see people sitting in front of you literally dodging them HAHAHA
Need my outfit post daily :P
Floral Blazer from Bershka
Meshed Cropped top from H&M
Shoelaced Highwaists from online
Bag from Italy
Platform Shoes from www.StyleHacks.net
And cutie panda sockz from taipeiiiiiiiiiiii
Nowadays there are many people selling those photography packages for couples?
It's like $1000++ for only 20 photos wtf and they're not even wedding shots?
Ritche and I got approached the other day at suntec and because both of us are very bad with rejecting people it took us over an hour to leave the booth LOL
I really think i would rather do my own couple shoot with just my dslr and self timer seriously just look at this pic i loveeee it hehe
I could get another DSLR with that thousand dollars
The last activity of the day was sneaking in yummy carl's jr meals into the cinema and yezzzz super shiok
WE WATCHED HERCULES! It was launched on Ritche's birthday so how convenient ~ we just had to go to vivo to watch it!
The movie was seriously damn good and quite funny haha
Dwayne Johnson's acting was so damn good to the extent i actually got goosebumps at some parts of the movie LOL
I'm not the type to love action movies but i loved it and so did Ritche, he's been wanting to watch it haha
I actually had a plan for after the movie which was to go to keppel for some drinks at the bar but haiya we were too tired for any of that LOL
Just imagine waking up at 8am and having activities back to back to 9+pm. We just had to head home.
Well i hope this gave you some idea to plan dates! There are still many ways to go around it actually
If you don't like USS, you could stay at museo for painting and some drinking.
If you don't like watching movies for a birthday date, you could stay at Sentosa's Hard Rock Cafe for dinner with live bands!
If your girlfriend loves taking photos you could bring her to trick eye but idk the thought if that doesn't excite me anymore haha.
Alright that's all i have for now! I hope you enjoyed the post :P
Till next time~
