EUROPE TRIP // PARIS [Days 2 & 3] - La Vallee Village, Eiffel Tower, Louvre, Des Champs Elysees, Lafayette

HEY GUYS!
This is a continuation of my previous post regarding Paris so if you haven't read it then read it first! >> MELODY IN PARIS!!!
Anyway a little update, i have finally finally changed my blog's layout!  Really have to thank Ritche for this hehe <3 New header, new layout so the pictures are way bigger, and my icons have also changed! We're currently working on the layout for StyleHacks and it requires a lot of work so yeah i've been quite busy!
I'VE ALSO CHANGED MY HAIRSTYLE YESTERDAY and even changed my hair parting (first time in 19 years) ok it's a MIRACLE! Will take more pictures and upload on instagram @meloided tmr and on my blog as well hehe.

 Paris Day 2 - We had hotel breakfast before leaving off for wholesale branded goods shopping at La Vallee Village @ Val D'Europe! I overheard that this crappy hotel breakfast with super little variety costs 19euros per person ($32.30). Can get a good meal with that money eh like eating at wild honey or something? 

Never failed to see ham in the morning through the whole trip :'( damn sian just looking at this pic.
and we even tried the cheese on the right cause it looked real good and i really can't appreciate it omg.it was sour and smelled kinda weird.....i already expected it to taste like that but i dont know why i still decided to take it?! Probably deceived by it's looks cause people and food are all the same LOL.
Would prefer chinese fried rice in the morning...now i'm hungry :/

Didn't really like breakfast but LOVED the chocolate croissant i ate like 3 of it! Probably one of the best i've ever eaten. Second would chocolate croissants from FourLeaves!

A lil drizzle while we were making our way to the metro station near the hotel. It only takes 5minutes to get there! I think paris is even more beautiful when it's raining or is it just me haha. But it's definitely A LOT colder when raining though.

Ticket actually cost 6.55euros ($11 SGD) per person LOL maybe Singapore's public transportation isn't expensive at all hm. Doesn't mean that people will stop complaining how Poly students don't have student fare of 58cents while JC students have, doesn't mean that people will stop complaining how they keep increasing the fares. Why? Cause we're Singaporeans afterall. We do what we do best HAHAHA.

They can eat and drink on trains so they have vending machines at their platforms EH this one i complain ok i CAN'T STAND the "no eating" on public transport rule in Singapore. I ALWAYS feel like eating or drinking something then when i hold my bubble tea on the train i really feel like crying one eh. I'll start to countdown like how many more minutes before i can drink my bubble tea it's fucking sad OK. Then carry macs on public transports even worse. When i smell the fries, my stomach starts growling wtf.

Got lost while trying to change trains HAHA we walked in circles at least 4 times it was damn frustrating. Took us 20minutes before getting to the right platform. We just kept following the "sortie" signs which actually means exit! Had to ask a few locals how to get to the platform and even they had to check the map before giving us directions lol.

Kept wanting to snap pictures on the train also because the ride was really awkward. The seats face each other so i was sitting in front of his parents WTF it made me damn nervous leh. Then the ride was 30minutes long????

Had to buy hot chocolate that morning cause it was damn cold but wtf leh the hot chocolate was so hot the spoon melted?! Poor me scalded myself :(

All the shops look pretty much the same to suit the whole "Village" theme! You'll find like many tourists and taitais here with MANY MANY shopping bags cause branded goods are at like half price here. It's wholesale probably because it's older designs so not everything is nice in my opinion.
Brands like Fred Perry, Furla, GUESS, Celine, LongChamp, Timberland, Diesel, Burberry and many more can be found here!

While at the Timberland store! Ritche got himself a pair he has always wanted hehe. I think it's worth it cause in Singapore it costs $299 but over here it was only 129euros ($219 SGD)!

Got my first pair of diesel jeans here at 95euros ($170 SGD) and Diesel can no longer be found in Singapore so if you buy it online it'll be $300-400 SGD excluding shipping?

We were done with La Vallee Village after just 2+hours cause it isn't that big anyway. Overheard other tour groups having 7 hours there wtf they really don't know how to plan one eh. It's not as if there's anything else nearby to see or do?

Went to a restaurant just opposite the metro station and i had salmon pasta that was SUPER SUPER yummy.i SWEAR i have never had such good pasta in my whole life. The taste of the salmon was so strong and fragrant i can still remember exactly how it tastes up till now.
I loved it so much and i wish they had this in Singapore :( You have to go there to eat if you're in Paris it's a must! It cost 12.50euros ($21.25 SGD)! WORTH IT.

Ritche's bacon cream pasta

Went to check in to the other hotel that we're staying with the tour group as our tour begins on the following day! Just had to take a picture of Ritche's Timberland boots before they get dirtied HAHA.

There wasn't much to eat around the hotel so we went for super expensive and ordinary japanese food. The guy wasn't happy that we only ordered 2 set meals lol he was like "THAT'S ALL?" after he took our orders with that fucked up look on his face. Wtf leh we just had a meal 3 hours ago just want to eat something light cannot ah?
Besides we only take up 1 table and it's not as if you have any other customers anyway LOL????? Confirm close shop soon one la.

Just like that and it cost 40+euros ($70+ SGD) altogether lol. Food in Europe is super expensive but JAPANESE food is ridiculously expensive! It's not just this restaurant, even if you buy ordinary sushi from supermarts it's super ex! But it sure seems like they love jap food cause it's everywhere!?

Decided to try out this drink cause it LOOKED good.....

Please read what it contains carefully. 1 apple, 1/2 banana, 4 strawberries, 108 redcurrants, 11 raspberries and 5 boysenberries(wtf is this) and if i'm not wrong there's nothing else like absolutely nothing else SO IT WAS DAMN GROSS. I think it was probably the banana that made it fucking weird? I could only force down 2 mouthfuls and i was done with it. Super sick.

Smartest thing i saw through the whole trip HAHAHAH non smoking room with an ashtray and a sticker pasted on it that says "no smoking" HAHAHAHA you completely missed out the point of an ashtray there seriously....

Paris Day 3 - Morning breakfast was damn sucky and i left the breakfast room hungry but sad to say this is the second best breakfast i had through the trip.the rest were a lot worse.
The tour group was heading towards the Eiffel Tower again so we had to follow and wait for them there for an hour lol could have had an extra hour of sleep :( but at least they drove around for a bit and we could see and take pictures of some sights!

This is the Des Champs Elysees shopping district, another long stretch of branded goods! Went there later that afternoon.

Went to their food court for lunch (which was still crazily expensive btw)

Lasagne for 9.90euros ($17 SGD)

Had the best tiramisu i've ever had at this place (even better than the one i had in Italy!)

Lasagne was a disappointment but their cakes were really good!

Decided to take a 30minute walk to Des Champs Elysees from the Lourve for shopping with the help of a map!

The guy had A LOT of problems with calculating and it really seemed as if he was giving all the wrong figures so we left without changing any money lol. Work as money changer but don't know how to calculate really damn fail leh.

It was damn hot after we reached Champs Elysees thanks to the afternoon sun. Should have worn shorts instead!

Walked into the Disney shop and realized that i'm too old for this already LOL. Everything was just children's wear and toys :'( 

Sephora shop SO HUGE i can't even see the other end from outside the shop eh no kidding ah. Didn't enter the shop cause i'm a noob in make up lol and i don't know what i'll actually need? :/ I always enter a make up shop going like what is this and that when i'm with my friends LOL.

Went to H&M but sadly all winter wear so all i could look at was mainly accessories and shoes :(

Bought myself a beanie hehe super in love with the colour!

Went to the metro station again so we could make our way to a mall with even more branded goods like the super high end ones at Lafayette! They have those limited edition and most updated designs for brands like Celine, LV, Prada, LongChamp, Burberry and a lot more. I fell in love with a fucking nice Celine bag but it was limited edition and cost 3400euros ($5780 SGD) SO YEAP didn't even have to consider LOL.

Look at that,it's a condom machine lol and it's everywhere eh not just at the metro station. I've seen it outside the toilet too!

HOMME means males and they actually have a mall specifically for males and one side for females just imagine how big that is!

Whether it is a mall, museum or housing estate their buildings always seem to look the same LOL

Got our first macaroon in Paris! Hehe my cutie with his chocolate macaroon :)

BUT, CHOCOLATE FLAVOUR WAS EVEN YUMMIER AAAAAH
I hardly eat macaroons in Singapore cause the ones i had were quite a disappointment but THIS, WAS SO GOOD. SO SO GOOD. If you go to Paris the macaroon from "Paul" is a MUST to try.

There are actually only 5 stops that are considered in the "Paris" zone. Our hotel is at La Defense so it's considered "out of the Paris Zone" so we bought the wrong tickets. Sadly no refunds though $10 SGD gone just like that! Should have checked properly first :(

Went to the Carrefour near our hotel to get some snacks and stuff like that because Ritche and I didn't want to wake up earlier for breakfast lol.

Went for chinese food again and this time it was just as expensive but it tasted a lot worse LOL. It was damn funny how the china stall owner muttered to herself "na me hao chi dou bu yao chi" (so nice also don't want to eat) when she saw the previous guests' leftover food. Her cooking so bad and she still can say that?!

Had an early night that evening cause we had to wake up the next morning at 5.30am to make our way to switzerland! Had instant mashed potatoes and our chocolate mousse and cheesecake in a jar for breakfast haha way better than breakfast at the hotel that's for sure.

Paris wasn't that much fun for me honestly, cause i couldn't buy many things as i usually would when i'm overseas since things are too expensive. However it's definitely a good place to go to if you're crazily rich and can afford to buy many branded goods at cheaper prices in comparison to that of Singapore! Cause really, the price of branded goods is like half price for more recent collections, and like 1/4 price for those from older collections.

Anyways Switzerland post is next and i'll also post a mini update of my hair in that post as well. And maybe some sneak peeks of the StyleHacks shoot tomorrow? :)
